Brotherhood 2.0: February 13, 2007

In which John manages (barely) to update his video blog (and discusses his darkest secret--the celebrity death pool) despite being stuck in O'Hare airport for 10 hours with a bunch of jerkfaces who wouldn't share the outlets.

To answer the comments (and sorry not to have answered earlier!): Yeah, unfortunately I've already been to D.C. and Chicago. And yes, these are all school visits and they're all very tightly packed, particularly with the weather difficulties this particular week. But I'll make a list of places you can buy autographed copies of "Alaska" and "Katherines" soon, if that's any help. And thanks as always for your nice comments. And also, to a lesser extent, for your mean ones that show an obvious desire to see me punished.

Darn. The video isn't working!

Giving a list of places that sell autographed copies of Alaska and Katherines would be great! Thanks so much :]

What's the punishment for intentionally posting a non-working youtube vid in order to prevent punishment for not posting a daily youtube vid? Hmmmmmm....

This should definitely be in the FAQ. "Why isn't the video working?"

Answer:"Because YouTube spends more than an hour converting a video to it's proprietary format before posting the video...and then it will decide to unpost it, and then to post it, and then unpost it, for around an hour after that, just to tease you and make you like B20 less."

I was worried John was going to have to be the one who got the first TWO punishments. But you pulled through, I can see you sitting there, fist pumped into the air, with a look of accomplishment on your face..it's a beautiful thing.

Was Saddam Hussein one of those people? Isn't he, um... already dead?

The same question has been asked over email re. Saddam.

That is not Saddam Hussein. It is Chemical Ali, Saddam's half-brother, who murdered thousands of Kurdish nationalists (among plenty of other crimes).

Chemical Ali is not dead.

I was totally rooting for you to make it. Don't guys like it when you provoke them a little? Doesn't that spur your species on to glory?

Those kids from wakefield school are really, really cool, and good looking too. You should show more of them.
